Amanda Rahme Owner of GLO Nutrition recently opened in Cleveland

Founder and owner of GLO Nutrition, Amanda was sick of her 9-5 and decided it was time for a  change!

In 2019, Amanda had a senior role in an aged care facility. She worked the 9-5 grind and whilst it was paying the bills, she wasn’t happy. She’d had enough of putting her heart, soul and time into work for someone else and decided it was time for a risk, a challenge and a change! 

She set out to find a new positive and fun way of living and through a friend, discovered the fine art of making loaded teas and smoothies. She knew instantly that this was the change she was looking for and the life she wanted to live. It was decided, she wanted a shop of her own. 

“I wanted to show my boys that you can do anything that you put your mind to.” The mother of two was determined that she not only wanted to do something she loved but also something that is a good fit for her family. 

GLO Nutrition opened in July

After a long search for the perfect spot to show off her new passion and talents, Amanda opened up GLO Nutrition in Cleveland in July 2022. She loves the area, the people and the vibrance of Bloomfield St (especially on Sundays!) 

After only being open for a short three months, the shop has already claimed the title of a local “must visit”. GLO is the only place in the Redlands where you can get loaded teas and smoothies packed with essential vitamins and minerals. Every drink aids with digestion, gut health and weight loss. They improve focus and give you that midday pick-me-up to get you through your week. Plus they’re gorgeous and taste so good!! Now also serving everything from your daily coffee fix to raw treats and açai bowls, GLO shows no signs of slowing down.

At GLO you’re welcome to come to have a drink but you’re also invited to stay, chat, read, relax, play retro-style games or purchase some locally made art all under one roof!

“I wanted to prove to my family that I’m a strong independent woman; I can do this.” Balancing family life, a personal training business and opening her own shop all at once, Amanda has definitely stuck to her word.

You can find GLO Nutrition open 7 days a week fronting the kids playground in the park on Bloomfield Street, Cleveland.

A little while ago one of our regular readers suggested that Redlands2030 use its social media presence to publish stories about local businesses.
