The next Redlands2030 Community meeting set for Monday 17 May 2021 at the Ormiston Scout Hall (the new hall) at the corner of Bainbridge and Gordon Streets.

The meeting starts at 6:15pm for a 6:30 pm start (sharp).  Please book in advance of the meeting; by email to thereporter@redlands2030.net

Free tea and coffee served and open discussion from 8:30pm

The draft agenda for Monday 17th May will include:

1.Guest Speaker: Robert Bush of the Queensland Wader Study group (QWSG) to discuss implications for and of the Toondah EIS on the migratory wader birds
2. Commonwealth Lands at Birkdale: Future use options debrief of actions by members 
3. Guest Speaker:  Ms Debbie Pointing of the Koala Action Group to discuss implications for and of the Toondah EIS on koalas  
4. Preview Redland City Council Meeting 19 May (Chris Walker)
6. Toondah World Migratory Bird Day: Lights in the Mud:  Volunteer Feedback/ comments, discussion & ideas for the next big event (in September/October at the annual welcome to the Birds) 
7. Toondah Harbour EIS: Public consultation update from the Federal Department of Environment
8.  Keeping the pressure on the Toondah Harbour PDA approval processes… preferred community action…door knocking, liaison with small businesses, protest at                                                             Parliament House, Wake up/ stir up the “Marginal” seats in Brisbane City
9. Social Media support:  Louder and more vocal support of social media is very important to keeping up the ‘volume” and activity on our social media sites.  Your actions help to ignite the algorithms of Facebook and Google so please stay active. Discussion of options for TAG members to support these pages
