Redlands2030 lodged a Right to Information (RTI) request in October 2023 for various reports about the condition of the Cleveland Aquatic Centre.
This Right to Information request resulted in Redland City Council providing the requested reports in a single large 360 page pdf file.
To make this information available to the community Redlands2030 is publishing the main reports provided by J.H. Cockerell and Aquatic One.

2014 J.H. Cockerell Report
This report includes a condition assessment of the swimming pools together with maintenance plans and recommendations for preparing a Facility Master Plan to replace with swimming pools. The report includes comments on earlier reports on the Cleveland Aquatic Centre by Stevenson and Associates in 2010 and by GHD in 2012.
2021 J.H. Cockerell Report
In its 2021 report J.H. Cockerell says it was asked by the Council to:
- Inspect the pool water treatment plants at the Cleveland Aquatic Centre and report on their condition, making reference to JHC’s 2014 “Updated Pool Condition Assessment and Maintenance”, when relevant; and
- Provide cost estimates for required capital expenditure on pools at the Cleveland Aquatic Centre for the next 10 years.
2022 Aquatic One Report
Aquatic One says it was commissioned by Redlands City Council to undertake a site audit of the existing aquatic elements at the Cleveland Aquatic Centre in Brisbane,
Queensland. This report details the findings of the audit of the centre and provides
a condition report on the swimming pools and filtration plant currently installed.
