Childcare facility in Thornlands – development application

Application MCU25/0200 to develop a 119 place childcare facility at 1 – 45 Pateman Parade, Thornlands has been advertised for public consultation. The closing date for submissions is 20 March 2026. Submissions can be made by email to rcc@redland.qld.gov.au

The site proposed for development of this childcare facility is irregularly shaped. This is a consequence of a decision to extend Pateman Parade to intersect with Cleveland-Redland Bay Road at the point where it already intersects with Beveridge Road.

Approval for development of 252 townhouses on land south of Pateman Parade (where sheep graze at present) was given in consent decisions by the Planning and Environment Court for MCU2017/0057 and MCU2017/0058, in August 2023.
