An impressive collection of community generated “vision” there is a need for more, what better way to put across and make a public record of Cleveland, and the Redlands. More please!!
These records might well give future generations the evidence needed to convict our current civic leaders of irreversible damage to the environment. There is at least one record on You tube of Raby Bay before the up market canal development was established. The conversion of wetlands to canals was in a different era and done without some of the science available today.
The lessons to be applied include that a balanced approach to development must be in the context of what was not what is.
The historic views on this videos are salutary

There is truth in the saying “those who forget history are doomed to repeat it” and the planning system, contemporary planners and RCC Councillors seem a forgetful lot.
The lessons of Raby Bay should be informing the decisions for Toondah Harbour and Weinam Creek, but there is no evidence of that occurring in the publicly available technical reports, Council minutes or the released development scheme.
